frontrunners!!

these members work as a team to keep the fen ship afloat, so to speak. although not every frontrunner is a frequent fronter, and likewise not every frequent fronter is a frontrunner, these are the fens who you're most likely to see around or getting stuff done.(these are also just fun intros!! each of us is a real person and can't be contained in a little carrd box, etc, etc.)

if speaking to a member not listed on this carrd, you can always ask for their pronouns. (if via pluralkit, you can also react with ❓ to any of their messages to access their pronouns and description. this will never be invasive to us; any information publicly available on pk is information we have chosen to share.)

feel free to ask for clarification on anything, at any time.
we always appreciate you wanting to be certain that something's ok!!

boundaries!!

don't publicly refer to us as plural.please feel free to ping or dm us on discord, if we know you!you can ask who's fronting, as long as you're prepared to be told someone isn't comfortable with answering.if someone is using the "perceivedn't" proxy on pluralkit, please do not attempt to "vibe-check" them (point out who they are); this proxy exists for a reason. (we will still take system accountability for anything said under this proxy, obviously.)you can ask to talk to someone who isn't fronting, if both the fronting member and the member you'd like to speak with are ok with front requests. (ask!) you can also leave messages with whoever's fronting to relay to another member.be aware that if you speak to one member, it's likely (though not certain) that others will be able to access that memory.we are not really "introject heavy", but also not really "introject light". please do not treat introjected members as though they are literally their source; most of our introjects do not identify with their respective sources, and those who do identify with that figure don't see themselves as literally that person. every one of our system members is their own person; please do not pre-judge them.you can ask us questions, but like ... we're new to this. we aren't gonna know much about plurality in general, if that's the kind of answers you're after - only our own experiences.do not ask what made us plural.

language we use!!

we really won't be upset if you mess up!! however, we appreciate you trying to use the language we prefer if you're talking about us.terms we use:
system member, member, headmate, sysmate
system, collective, constellation
frequent fronter
little, middle
introject, fictive, factive (etc)
terms we'd rather you don't use for us:
alter, host
part/parts, ANP, EP
personality/ies, identity/ies (to describe headmates)
2nd-person prns we use
you& / variants (ie "i hope your& day is good!")
you guys/y'all/etc (the plural "you" works fine in casual usage!)

labels and flags!!

plural
we use the plural journey flag. this is a flag created to be inclusive and celebrate plural diversity, described as:
for all who identify as plural, no matter what created them or what diagnoses they do or do not have.
flag by anonymous, here.

synqueer
we identify, collectively, as synqueer. this is defined as:
the sum/combination of all queer identities a plural collectively experience(s).
flag by blankmogai.

chimera/hybrid
as a system, we have members who are more distinct from one another, as well as members who are more interlinked and subsystems who are more median than multiple. we use the term chimera for this!
flag by extranth.

adaptive
we became plural many years ago, in order to cope with overwhelming circumstances and "adapt" to them.
(we are not comfortable with the term "traumagenic" for personal reasons.)
flag by greysdawn.

fenway flag!!

this flag was created 09/07/22 as a way of honouring and taking pride in our system, our aspirations, our hopes, and our collective identity.the deep red stripe represents the pride we take in our autistic identity. we could have chosen gold for this stripe, but decided red looked nicer; it is associated with Autistic own-voices advocacy.the violet stripe represents our individuality and uniqueness as a collective. it is associated with mystery, magic, creativity and pride.the light blue stripe represents trust. it is reminiscent of the blue trust stripe on the plural journey flag, described thusly: This is the trust between headmates. Hard but important. we are learning to trust each other.the gold stripe represents courage, to do what is right and be who we are. we associate gold and solar imagery with pride and solidarity, as well as with clarity, compassion and bravery.the white stripe represents love. white light is the sum of all other colours of light, and encompasses every shade; this stripe does not stand for romantic love, familial love, platonic love, queer love, self love, or any other specific variety. it does not specify love for others, for each other, for our collective identity. it is all of these things at once. it is central to building everything else on this flag, and thus centered in the image: love for each other supports harmony and trust. love for the world builds courage. love for our collective self allows us to take pride in our queer, autistic plurality. it allows us to heal.the mint stripe has always been a colour we identified with (hence this carrd's colour scheme lol); it represents our internal diversity, our 'multitudes' (as described by walt whitman: very well, then I contradict myself.) we value our multiplicity and our differences.the green stripe represents harmony. it, too, is reminiscent of the green harmony stripe on the plural journey flag: This is internal harmony, whether you choose to fuse or choose to stay many.the dark blue stripe stands for masculinity. not every system member identifies as masculine, male, or loving masculinity or men, but as a collective we are working to embrace both of these things in ourselves. this stripe represents the joy and love we hold for masculinity in ourselves and others.the lavender stripe stands for queer pride. as on the genderqueer flag and queer chevrons flag, lavender is associated with queer empowerment, diversity, and a refusal to be defined. almost all system members identify with queerness, even if they do not call themselves queer.
